Searching and Summarizing in Multilingual Enviroment

Description: This project is focussed on the development the system that would enable a multilingual searching in text databases and an automatic summarization of retrieved texts. New multilingual searching and summarizing algorithms, proposed by members of our group, are implemented in the system.

Michal graduated at UWB in 2003, specialized in software engineering. Currently, he is a PhD student interested in information retrieval, multilingual text processing, word sense disambiguation and knowledge discovery.

Desc:This software enables searching a specific multilingual text corpus. Algorithms make use of a modified vector space model, text transformations into language-independent forms, and TF-IDF based scoring.
